Section “T” – School Paraders

CONDITIONS
• Indemnity Waiver: All competitors must complete and sign the indemnity waiver.
• The competition is open to students of Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
• Students need to be enrolled in local South West Slopes schools.
• All cattle must be led by entrant.
 

THE COMPETITION
• The competition consists of two sections:
- Junior Section (Years 7 & 8) 
- Senior Section (Years 9, 10 & 11) 


• Each section can consist of a number of heats.

  • Round 1 will address each student in their year group. These may be combined if small numbers are present, however students will still be judged in their individual year group. Students will be judged on their parading and presentation ability.

  • Round 2 will take the stand out student/s from each stage (7/8), (9/10), (11) in round 1. Students will again be judged on their parading and presentation, as well as judging on beef knowledge in this round.

  • Round 3 is the finals round, where the students with the highest scores from round 2 compete for overall champion. These students will be judged on their parading, presentation and beef knowledge. 

 

 

Entrants in the competition will be judged on:

• Handling/knowledge of the animal

• Personal presentation

• General knowledge of beef cattle (Round 2 on)

 

PERPETUAL TROPHIES

• The Parader of the Show. All finalists are eligible.

The School Parader of the Show will receive a trophy and ribbon in recognition of their achievements.

• The Parader School of the Show. Determined from the rounds and final scores.

 

PRIZES

• Awards - All entrants receive a ribbon in recognition of their efforts.

• Champion Year Group Parader ribbons will be awarded to the entrant/s with the highest score of their year group.

• Champion Show Parader ribbon will be awarded to the entrant/s with the highest score overall.

• Champion School Parader ribbon will be awarded to the school with the highest score overall.

• Encouragement Award to entrant from Tumut High School - donated by Braden Bond
